Guild Wars 2

I’ve recently bought a computer and my girlfriend decided to get me GW2 for christmas (gave it to me early).
I’ve installed it and the game is near enough unplayable in most areas!
The highest FPS rate I can reach is around the 10-18 mark.

I was wondering if anyone more adept with computers would like to help me out as i’m lacking knowledge to sort it out. Here is my computer…

CPU : AMD BULLDOZER X4 4100 AM3 4.0 GHZ CPU
MOTHERBOARD : GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3
RAM : 8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM
HARD DRIVE : 1000GB
GRAPHICS CARD : Integrated ATI Radeon HD 3000

If you can see a problem as to why my fps is so bad, please explain what could be wrong with the setup as i have no idea and if you’re smart enough you could help us out even more by recommending a decent replacement for any of the above!

Old cpu and no GRAPHICS CARD (built in).

If you buy a AMD 7870 or higher or Nvidia GTX 650Ti or higher that would help, probably need new PSU too then.

Im afraid that computer simply isnt up to the task of running GW2 any better than what u r getting.

Its runing a AMD cpu, and its a old AMD cpu. Both of which mean you wont get good performance form a CPU bound game like GW2.

The graphics card is non existant and instead is using the Integrated processor which is woefully weak.

The only help we can provide is recommendations on an upgrade.

CPU :
Intel —i5 k (i.e 2600k/3570k) OC’ing it would allow u to play WvW 30fps+ all the time.
AMD —FX 8350 (will be ok with everything except WvW)

GPU: Will handle Medium Settings easyily.
Nvidia: 550ti
AMD: 7770

You would likely need new PSU since ur one i expect is small.

600W should be enough.
