Hello!
Little intro.
As you know youtube add support of 60FPS video, so NOW i know difference.
Main part.
My current PC spec:
Intel core i5-3450 3.10 GHz 3.50 GHz
MSI 1024Mb HD6850 R6850 CYCLONE
8 Gb of DDR3 memory.
Even with full perfomance settings i got 30-33 fps with no ppl, and 10-16 with some ppl(20+)
My dream – 60+ FPS most of the time
Question: is it possible to upgrade my PC to do that?
By upgrade i mean changing 1 part(video or proc+motherboard)
Thx for help

PS Sorry for my english.

Is 3.5 GHz as high as you can overclock? Else I’d try to push it to 3.9-4.0 GHz. MMOs and high clock frequency go hand in hand with all that information needed to be calculated by the CPU.

If you want to replace one part my pick would be to a nvidia graphics card. If you can afford it, then GTX 970 has excellent performance for its price.

the cpu is ok, if you upgrade you will probably only get maybe 10 more fps.

The graphics card is a bit old though, especially for high settings.

A 970 is a great card for the price. If you dont want to spend that much, the older 700 series nvida or the r9 amd cards are heavily discounted atm.

dont upgrade yet wait for new tech or at least for some price cuts
specially if your main game is GW2

mainly you need to upgrade you GPU… R9 290 for 200-210$ should be great (but wait for holidays)

You wont get 60FPs+ All the time… impossible at max settings even 25 FPS all the time is impossible

No need for max settings. Atleast high textures, animations and some ppl models will be nice. For now even with lowest settings i can get 35 fps max. Yep, some kind of Tequatl with max settings and 60+ FPS – impossible, but some dungeons, map roaming for achievments with 60FPS will be awesome.

then just get GPU…. holidays

even r9 270 for 100$ should be enough but if you can get 220$ then maybe you can get R9 290

Here is a visual to compare with, Your HD6850 vs a R9 280
http://www.hwcompare.com/17729/radeon-hd-6850-vs-radeon-r9-280/

You can get a 280 on amazon for under 200, that is the route I would go. If your going to spend more just buy a GTX970.

As for your CPU, There is no point in upgrading it unless you want to upgrade to a K series and Build for an OC of 4.6ghz. That is the only way you will see a gain for the cost (340+149) of a CPU/MB upgrade.

If you were to upgrade to a 3.2ghz clocked i5 on haswell you MAYBE see 10% for gains. But the cost would be a new MB (89) and the cpu (219~). IMHO not worth the 10% improvement.

Alternatively you can buy a Ivy K That fits your MB (is is a Z series? If not, you might wanna just go haswell), and shave costs on a used binned cpu.

Unless you are going to be running a higher resolution then 1080p, you do not need anything more powerful then a GTX760/R9-270, So going a R9-280 will give you room for growth with other games for the next couple years.
