Hello I just bought the Heroic Edition from Wal-Mart, However when I registered this game it only shows up as the Regular edition. I am currently installing so I am not sure yet if I got what I paid for. But what do I do if I do not get the extra stuff from buying the heroic edition?

You’ll need to contact the store you bought it from and see if they didn’t sell you the wrong thing. Was it opened in any way before you purchased it? Was it completely sealed? If not, someone might have opened it and switched the key from a regular edition.

Not opened, completely sealed…However it is opened now because I opened it and Wal-Mart will not refund games if they have been opened anymore. I had a similar issue with a PS3 game a few years ago.

Will not having those items hurt me a lot?

The Heroic Edition is just the later version of the regular edition. I’m not sure what indicates version when registering; there may only be ‘Regular’, and ‘Digital Deluxe’, as far as designations go (the only others would be ‘Boxed’ and ‘Collectors Edition’, and I don’t believe those would show up).

You will be able to tell which Edition you have once you create a character. If you receive any bonuses in the mail, you have the Heroic Edition or better.

Most stores will exchange an opened game if the one bought doesn’t work or is incorrect.

No; they are just convenience items.

I think it’s worth contacting support via a support ticket and follow-up with a screenshot of your box + maybe receipt (if brick/mortar). At the very least, ANet would want to know if a retailer is selling basic as ’Heroic Edition. At best, they might be able to help you directly (by getting you the missing items) or indirectly (by letting you know what might have gone wrong, the better to use when dealing with the retailer).

Not having the bonuses won’t hurt you per se. But if you paid for them you should get them. Here are the bonuses that come with the Heroic edition, which is at this time the base edition.

• Suit of Legacy Armor – One time use for the armor class you choose. Since you seem new make sure you select the correct armor set for the armor class (heavy, medium, light) that you want. This is something I see people confuse often. Upon use it will be added to the wardrobe and can be used again for the same armor class via transmutation charges.
• Mithril Box – An extra storage “bag” for your character. Can only be used by one character at a time. If you choose to delete the character it is on make sure you put it in the bank first.
• 10 Experience Boosters – Self explanatory.

Like others have said when you finish the download login and see if you get those bonus items via in game mail when you create your first character. If not contact the retailer that sold the item to you.
