Hello folks; I’m Elias. I have a problem. I’ve been using gemfx for about a year now, smoothly. Today i decided to try this preset thingie. i went by this tutorial

I installed the same preset. However, i accidentally moved my default out, instead of the current. But, i moved it back in. Then i properly placed the preset in the current one. However; now when i try to log into the game. The moment i press play after signing in, the game just crashes, no error messages or anything.

How can i fix this?

Did you make sure you changed the file extension? Most presets come in .txt format and need to be changed to .cfg files. Make sure you’re renaming it properly too.

I personally couldn’t get into GemFX. I prefer Reshade myself.

i did rename it properly, i deleted the preset i downloaded after it didn’t work. Gemfx remained broken. Atleast i found a temporary solution by disablign it in the configurator. But i still have those useless files in my folders and i can’t use gemfx.

Hmm only thing I can think of is try to download GemFX again and reinstall it. Something got borked in the file switching or something. Best to get a fresh install and see if it keeps happening after that.

I managed to fix the entire thing by using -repair command. However, f9 toggle doesn’t work anymore. Can it be due to by missing default file? Where do i get a new one?
