Hey there. Recently I’ve offered my assistance to several people for Hall of Monument help in GW1. The best way I’ve found to do this and sort of make a list of the easiest things to get and in what order is by checking their HoM page and going from there.
Only problem is, when I type in a character name in the HoM calc, this shows up:

I tried this on Chrome, Firefox (default browser), and IE9 on two different computers. I also tried several character names – all of this shows up. All of my browsers are up to date and I’ve tried disabling AdBlock Plus to see if that solves the problem and it doesn’t.
Any ideas on how to fix this? It never used to do this but for some reason lately it’s doing this and I have no idea how to fix it.
Edit: I guess the image code doesn’t work??

Thanks for pointing this out. Yes, the HoM site is not working correctly at the moment. In the meantime, you may try the extended HoM.
Has been like this for months now
Extended HoM lacks a lot of things including the rewards you can get.

Hey thanks a lot. Does Anet know that the site is doing this and is there an ETA to when it’ll be fixed? I used the search before I posted this and found nothing.
That’s very odd. I just tried it on both firefox 20 and IE10 on 2 different computers, 2 different character names, and it works fine for me?
FYI, I do not think it is account related, as I put your name (Im Teh Pwnzor) and I can see your info just fine as well.
Hi Mkalafut – I was just using the HoM calculator and I’m not seeing the issue that you’re reporting. This issue could be due to your Internet connection settings. Please try the following:
1. Go to your Start Menu and then select the Control Panel.
2. Open “Internet Options.”
3. Go to the “Advanced” tab.
4. Click “Restore advanced settings” and click the “Reset…” button.
5. In the new windows click “Reset” and once the progress is complete click “Close.”
Please let me know if this doesn’t resolve the issue for you.
Ya I think this is computer based, not browser or account. The calculator looks fine when I search my character using my work computer, but no matter which browser I use on my home computer it bugs out like the screenshot you’ve attached.
I will try what Ashley suggested when I go home tonight.
After trying the suggested method, it still doesn’t work for me (I personally don’t need the calculator though).
If it helps, when I right click the page in Google Chrome, select Inspect Element, and click on the Console Tab I get the errors shown in the screenshot, saying that some resources couldn’t be found.
The 404 error is a little odd. To anyone else experiencing this issue, please try clearing your DNS cache. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the R key. This should bring up the “Run” dialogue box.
2. In that box, type “cmd” without the quotes, and click the “OK” button. A DOS window should open.
3. Enter the following command below and press enter: ipconfig /flushdns
This should clear your DNS cache. You may need to perform this command a few times.
If neither of the above methods work out please let me know!
If the issue persists your ISP may be providing old DNS information. Some ISPs take longer to update this information. You could also try using a 3rd party DNS service like those available at http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/ or http://www.opendns.com/start/ . NCsoft does not support these services, but there is information on configuring them at those sites.
Following the DOS window instructions, the number of resources that didn’t load went down to 1, with the link with “reward-monitor” still not loading; the screen ended up looking the same.
Out of curiosity I tried using the google DNS service and that worked (although I’m changing it back).
Changing DNS fixed it for me, but there must be something off on Anet’s side because it hasn’t worked for me for months and DNS updates are done daily.

Just tried this last night and it fixed it!
Will give these a try in a sec. Running the new dungeon. I just got my new computer all up and running so sorry I’ve been absent from my own "I need help!’ thread.
If using google chrome you must give full rights to make popups. No idea where hom.guildwars2 uses popups but hey … works for me.
I’ve fixed this! After many many weeks of trying.
First, Download and enable Java
Second, Change your DNS settings to Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4)
Third, open the command prompt (cmd) and flush your DNS (ipconfig /flushdns)
Lastly, refresh the page cache (shift+f5)

I tried going to the HoM calculator website today, I am getting the same garbbaled nonsense as everyone else. This issue is more than likley on Anets end as there is no way that everyone on this forum uses the same ISP, and even less likely we are all in the same area. Anet please fix this issue.
By the way, my work around is to copy the HTML code and put it into dreamweaver, it isn’t perfect but you can at least see what still needs to be worked on.
