Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
ASRock H77M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 × 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card
I also play on a 720p monitor, so I can’t exceed 1360×768 resolution.
How well will this play in:

WvW:
let the game decide your graphic options (should set everything to “high”), set reflections to “terrain&sky” or “none” manually (it’s bugged), vsync on and apply the tweaks on the following thread (CLICK), you’ll most likely get the following:
PvE: 55~60FPS / 50~55FPS on crowded DE’s
LA: 45~55FPS (very area specific)
WvW: 55~60FPS outside of massive fights / 25~30FPS at massive fights aka zerg battles
which would be pretty much the maximum of what you can get at the moment, no matter of how good your PC is.
i’m just guessing, your actual FPS might be lower – in that case, overclock your CPU if you’re not satisfied with the performance (get some basic overclocking knowledge first and search an OC tutorial specific to your CPU model/series and be sure that you are actually know what you are doing! you may damage your CPU!)
Right overclocking non “K” version and putting your pc on fire because hell pump the kitten out of his buss speed – non “k” version can be ocd only by increasing buss speed which is in Ivy/sandy brige really bad idea.

Lots of bad reviews on that motherboard but this is the main one. This is the main complaint beside a large rate of DOA’s with AsRock’s reply. Looks like the same memory your buying.
Cons: RAM – while it “supports” two sticks of memory – you may end up with one being a waste. I had two sticks, put them in for 8Gb of RAM and it would constantly reboot. Pulled one, and viola – it boots. Okay – figured it may be the memory stick. I swap in the other “bad” memory and it works. I put both in, and reboot city… After digging through the documentation it has a warning that it “may not work with some RAM” – wonderful. RAM was identical to what it says it supports, and I find that I can only run with 4Gb – 1 stick of RAM.
Other Thoughts: If I had known it didn’t support all RAM, I would have bought 1 stick of 8Gb RAM, rather than 2 of 4Gb… It would be nice if they said which types work… G.SKILL doesn’t… So, do NOT purchase these with this board: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 × 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL – only 1 stick will work…

This is a much better build with your monitors low rez with a overclocking processor that is the key to solid FPS in populated areas of this game. Included everything not knowing if you were reuseing any parts.

i wouldnt get a cheap Asrock mothebroard, their higher specs ones r not to bad but their cheaper MicroATX boards can be very limiting.
The CPU is a non K version so OC’ign is very limited. That said u should still get good FPS in GW2 in PvE. Only in WvW wil lthat particular CPU start to struggle in the bigger battles.
The 660 graphcis card will be fine for those resolutions also, so long as u keep the Gw2 grpahics options within its capabilities.
Thanks zerk, I wont be overclocking at all, which is why I didn’t order the K versions. That mobo was suggested to me on Tomshardware by multiple people, guess I should have had them pick out the RAM for me as well, but I canceled the order and picked up another set on their support list for the same price, thanks for the heads up.
With that low of a resolution, and a decently powerful graphics card like that, I don’t really see how you won’t be able to play the game maxed out at a comfortable 40 FPS minimum
The processor might limit that, but that low resolution is also a HUGE part in FPS…
