2 days before I could logon, now won’t download fully, won’t install correctly, constantly running repairs, terrible support, constant crashes and I have not even played the game yet. I WANT MY MONEY BACK.

After doing some research on the error codes, most of the troubles had stemmed from EU people trying to guest/party with NA players. The rest of the people getting this were apparently trying to make characters before the client was fully downloaded.

What region are you from and what server are you on? Have you let the client fully download/patch before clicking “play”?

The launcher crashes before it can fully download. It got up to playable level but no further. Crashes and after restart have to download from beginning again.

In a lot of cases, crashing while downloading is caused by other (usually security) software trying to manipulate GW2’s connection. If GW2’s error reporting window pops up, see the details as to why it crashed. The log can alternatively be accessed at
%appdata%/Guild Wars 2/ArenaNet.log.

If GW2 hangs however and crashes due to being unresponsive, press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up the task manager, then run GW2 again. Under the task manager/processes, right click Gw2.exe, select affinity and choose only CPU 0. The launcher may encounter problems with certain CPUs.

As sort of a catch-all, you can also try safe mode with networking enabled. This will disable most non-essential programs that may be interfering. (WindowsKey+R > msconfig > Boot tab > Safe boot + network, ok and reboot)

Also, the launcher’s download progress is relative due to being based on the amount of files remaining. It’s not actually restarting from 0%.

Lastly, refunds are requested through support.

Thank you, just having a total nightmare since the money actually left my bank account. Funnily enough every free to play game I have works just fine.

Also support can help fix you display name. Look like you display name has a bug that some player get.
