Guild Wars 2

Hey guys. I know this kind of “will my machine run it” post may be kind of annoying, and if this is absolutely not allowed here I apologize.

The basic jist of my situation is, I want to buy my little brother GW2 for Christmas, but his PC is pretty low-end. He has an Intel Duo E8500 3.2 ghz CPU, with 4 gigs of RAM and a Radeon HD 4300/4500- the GPU is what I’m worried about. Its very low end, and I had problems running this game on a similar machine with an HD 6670 before upgrading my hardware.

However, my resolution is 1920×1080, while his is 1440×900. I’m HOPING that will make the game easier to run on his machine.

I would try and run benchmarks and such on his PC to see how well the game would run, but I will not be home for the holidays until Christmas eve. So here I am asking on the forums. What do you guys think?

It may ‘run’, but how playable it will be is down the user’s expectations of ‘playability’.
Large events like WvW and the dragons will be a deffinate no go. But general PvE may be playable.

Yeah, it’ll run, but not very well if there are more then a couple people around.

It will run on low setting with lowest player quality a charcter limits at a playable quailty generally in pve
