Guild Wars 2

I run the Gw2Setup.exe > starts downloading then the client makes me accept if it can make changes to this computer > I click yes. The client then pops up again for 1 second saying downloading 0kb and then minimizes and I cannot open it.
It does the same thing whether I download the file from GW website, or use my disc.
Have tried to contact tech support but they must be on “half kitten friday” or something.
My pc is beyond capable of running the game.
My internet is fine.
Windows is up to date.
Drivers are up to date.

Please help.

Are you running the client in admin mode, disable router and Windows firewalls, turn off antivirus if you are using anything but Avast or the built in windows AV. If you are running Norton’s you may have to uninstall it completely and use a more gamer friendly AV like Avast or the built in Windows Security Essentials.
