I posted this in another thread but deleted there and decided to make a new thread regarding my issue.

I am having near constant crashing reporting that a file has been corrupted and a repair is required. This happens 20+ times a day, sometimes 5-10 times within 5 minutes or so. Repairing does nothing, and I’ve found that I can skip the repair and the game still runs fine (until the next crash that is). Specs are as follows

Core i5 2500k (3.3 ghz)
GeForce GT430
8GB of RAM
Windows 7 x64

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated, I plan on running a memory test later tonight but I really doubt this is the issue considering I’ve had no problem with any other game or application.

Do you get a black screen when your game crashes? Also, are you using a router? If so, try connecting your PC straight to the modem to see if you still get crashes. I was getting black screen crashes all the time in my game until I saw on one of the forums that someone decided to try going straight through the modem instead of his router and it worked. When I do this, I get no black screen crashes at all and I can play for hours on end. When i hook my router back on, my black screen crashes return. I have 3 other computers and my PS3 hooked up to my router along with my computer. The catch 22 for me its either play the game straight through the modem (but no internet for the rest of the family) or use the router and crash every 10 mins playing GW2 (but everyone has internet)….

Does it seem to crash at any specific time/event? (when you enter combat, load a zone etc?)

Also can I ask what settings you’re playing the game on, or are you unable to play the game at all?

I have the exact same problem. Sometimes it gets worse, like a crash every 3 minutes, or when I just launched the game. Sometimes I go on without a single crash for like 3 hours. I have been in contact with the technical support since day 1 basically. They asked me information about all sorts of things, but they didn’t give me any clear answer. Just asking me for more information or simply not answering unless you spam them.
At first I thought this was because of my PC since it is kind of old, but I’ve run some tests and I am more than able to run gw² (and I never had any problems before).
Oh and to me this happened during BWE3.

No I don’t get any black screen, game just exits and the crash dialogue pops up. Crashing happens frequently on zone changes/ fast travelling but not always, sometimes I’m in combat, sometimes I’m running around, sometimes I’m standing still.

I am connected to the router (by ethernet, not wifi) but plugging straight into the modem is not an option for me as there are multiple people as in your situation.

Question for those of you experiencing the same issue, are you on a store bought PC or a custom built? Mine is custom built, my first build actually so that was my first thought is that something isn’t right..but again I haven’t had a single other issue in any other program or game. Everything else runs perfectly fine…my RAM timings are what they should be…I’m not overclocking, temps are good.

All settings are on high with the exception of no AA and view distance, shadows, and shaders on medium. I’ve tried experimenting with changing these but have not noticed any difference. If there is a difference it would be hard to tell since the crashes happen so randomly. The issue does seem to be worse when Chrome is running, but again, I can’t be sure, it could just be coincidental.

Try this and let me know if it works! It fixed my issue when I had the same type of crashes!

Same, but I asked around and few people of my acquaintance did have crashes as well. To answer your previous question, my computer is a custom build, and repairing didn’t do anything. The support is still not answering to me though, and that’s annoying.

edit: I didn’t get a crash at all this my last post. The only thing I did was the -repair and the port test. The port test might have fixed the issue. I’ll have to see.
