I just got logged out with the same message, so you aren’t alone. I have e-mail authorization active and haven’t received any e-mails, so I’m pretty certain this error is on ANet’s end.

I just had this happened to me. I’ve haven’t received any strange Anet password reset emails. So I’m not worried that much.

Loads are posting about this ingame (chat is spammed with the “invalid password” error issue), just happened to me aswell.
Something has gone a bit wrong with the update.

Had it too, but am protected in more ways than one so I, too, think this is a bug on Anet’s table.
I just got it, too, while playing and fighting some dredge. I checked my email and the account page here on the site to make sure there was no funny business. It just looks like something weird on their end, but it’s unfortunate that the error code implies a password issue.

Same here. I’ve checked my router logs and email authentication as well. Good to go here.

This seems to be happening a lot in instances, so I’m encouraging people to /bug report it and write a ticket in the event it is blocking progress. It happened within a minute to both me and my wife’s accounts while doing her “Liberating Apatia” quest in Mount Maelstrom. It’s actually similar to the “9000” error that stymied SWTOR’s launch early on, both in occurrence and behavior of the disconnect.

Been randomly kicked a few times in past couple days for incorrect pw aswell. changed pw to a new random 15character pw with uppercase/lowercase/numbers/special char twice and scanned PC with avast,eset,malwarebytes and TDSSkiller which all came back clean plus no login attempt emails so it’s most likely something on ANet’s end rather than something nefarious.

Got kicked twice yesterday with this error. Nothing in my email and I was able to log in again no problem but it would be nice to not get kicked to desktop during dungeons.
