I am attempting to install the game client on my macbook pro ankittenep getting this error:

“s_activeDevice A serious error has occurred that prevented the application from continuing. A report has been sent to ArenaNet to help determine the cause.”

Any help would be great! The game runs on my mid 2010 imac and I would love to play it on my laptop too. Thanks!

I am having the same issue, have not been able to figure out a solution yet.

I am getting the same error. Some people are saying they’ve got GW2 working on their Mac by changing their screen resolution/display settings. I’ve tried changing mine, but with no luck yet.

It’s kitten that Apple purged the graphics card info from the “About This Mac” window. Make sure that you have at least an Intel HD3000 which is usually the case when your MacBook is eqipped with a Sandy Bridge CPU. You should find that info just a few clicks away from the “More Info…” button.

I am having a same issue with my macbook. my graphics card is an Intel GMA X3100 144MB, i am not sure where that is at least a Intel HD3000, but i still get this error. I’ve changed my display settings and color but no dice. Any help would be appreciated
