Install location is no longer?
Rename Gw2Setup.exe to Gw2.exe and it’ll simply install to its current folder.
The funny thing is, this was a bug in the old launcher, where it’d simply begin installing on some systems. I guess they couldn’t fix it so they simply went with the default Program Files.
Not sure why they don’t just make an actual installer. They’re having Gw2.exe double as the installer, meaning they’re making you download that ~30 MB executable twice. It’s why you can simply rename Gw2Setup.exe to Gw2.exe.

It’s a bug. We’re looking into it.
OK thanks for the replies guys. Healix that also worked.
While at it, I would love to see the updater module get separated from GW2 executable.
So this is how it supposed to work.
1- GW2.exe launches and checks for updates, if no new updates available, Continue to login and launching game
2- If an update is available, run a shell command for updater and exit from GW2.exe
This have two benefits. first I do not have to unblock a temporary file in my firewall each time there is an update for GW2 and later clean the list of in firewall settings from many new entries of a program that doesn’t exists anymore.
next is as downloader is just a simple program, doesn’t need to change as often as GW2 changes due to bugs, enhancements and other stuff thus saving me an extra 30meg or so download each time you are saving two copies of game in temp folder and game folder (other than GW2.exe itself)
