Guild Wars 2

So here I am, just bought guild wars 2. Running to my house, putting the disc in my laptop aaaaaaaaaaaand….it wont download. At first he downloads a couple of thousand kb, after that the screen flickers for a second, another download screen comes up and the installer/downloader dissapears into the launchbar.
All my drivers are up to date, my laptop should be able to run this game, it’s 2 months old.
My laptop is a Dell inspiron 15R SE. It has enough power to run the game.
So can anybody help me please?

Try this;

1. Turn off Windows Firewall
2. Turn off any 3rd party Firewalls you have (McAfee, Norton, whatever)
3. Reboot your computer
4. Try the download again.

We need more information your laptops specs what version of windows and how you are connecting to the internet, wired, or wireless, and ISP.

It’s probably an issue in Windows 8 unfortunately Windows 8 is not officially supported by the game yet. I’m not a big fan of it and flat refuse to upgrade so I really know nothing about it to help maybe someone can come up with a fix for you, or see if there is a way you can install windows7 on your laptop. Lots of games are having big issues with windows 8 good luck.
