Installation "serious error"
Also, i have tried running as admin, compatibility modes, turning off firewall, and putting it in the x86 folder
You don’t need to install GW2, just put Gw2.exe/.dat somewhere and run it. However make sure that you have write permissions to the directory it is in.
I’m usually really sweet… but this an internet forum and you know how it has to be.

I don’t need to install the game to play it? Also i don’t have the Gw2.exe file i only have a Gw2setup.exe file.
Thread needs a forum redirect.

If your graphics card is not capable of running the game, it won’t install properly. Which Intel HD Graphics series do you have?
Also, if you submitted a request through the webform to Tech CS, and received no response, check your junk/spam folders. You can read the pertinent Sticky, ‘Not Receiving Our Emails?’ and, you can post your ticket number in the appropriate Sticky, ‘Tickets for Review’ over in Account Issues after exhausting all other avenues.
Good luck.

I see.. Well I was able to download it on my small crappy Asus Eee seashell series notebook (which is, in short, a peice of scrap metal) with horrible specs, I can’t imagine that having a better graphics card than my Acer Aspire?
No idea. What are the graphics cards for each? Intel HD Graphics must be series 3000 or better.

The intel is Intel HD family and the notebooks is AMD Radeon 6250
Yes, I realize it is the Intel HD family of graphics cards. But which one?

It doesn’t say in device manager.
Then type dxdiag in the start (Search programs and files) menu. That will tell you which graphics card you use.
Try this before mucking around with anything else. You may very well have a corrupted file causing the game to crash immediately on launch.

Set it up and then go make a pot of coffee or put on a movie because it will take a while but it will fix any damaged code in the .dat file.

That might work, if I had a Gw2.exe file to do it with. I only have a file that says Gw2setup.exe. I don’t have a game client yet. I haven’t corrupted anything because i have uninstalled it correctly and reinstalled multiple times.

Did it, and it says the same thing. No numbers just “Intel® HD Graphics Family” in every category. It’s a median card according to a benchmark website i found.
Your best bet is to post over in Tech Support (I see you deleted your thread there) and submit a Tech Support ticket to CS.
Good luck.
Or…just thought of this…copy your .dat file from your Asus Eee computer and place it in a GW folder on this computer. Should save time, as well. =)

Hmm okay, well how would i go about copying it from one computer to the other?
Also, would i just create a new empty folder and name it guild wars 2, since i have no game content downloaded yet?
just copy and paste the whole gw2 folder
I looks to me that this might be that you don’t have enough free memory on your system looks like you have to much stuff running in the background or you have some virus that is eating up your memory free up some memory the game need a least 3 gb of ram to run.
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens

A good start would be to eliminate the possibility of software conflicts with GW2 (and lower the high amount of RAM usage). You can use MSCONFIG to do this.
