Guild Wars 2

I have had the game installed before and ran a wipe on my computer and once I tried to reinstall the game the installer continually freezes and crashes. Any help would be awesome as I miss WvW. I keep getting this error

I have been searching for that program on my computer but can not find it anywhere. I know I have never installed it before, consciously. Any tips on how to find it or disable it?

Your best bet would probably be to contact Lavasoft. Even lavasoft products including adaware have been bundled with some downloads, and it is far too easy to install bundled stuff that you don’t want.

It is also associated with Web Companion (which itself is part of ad-aware, but also available separately), and this may be what was installed.

OK i had the same issue , but looks like i got it working now. Lavasoft is a legit company so most anti-virus wont delete any files with the digy stamp.
I am assuming your using malwerebyes and google chrome, you need to Download and run AdwCleaner. After a good scrub it was finally gone.

I can confirm that lava-soft was the issue, I had the exact same issue, turned out to be a lava-soft program installed and attached to my google browser. i looked thru my programs in the uninstaller after reading this post, found and I uninstalled . I was finally able to download and update with out anymore errors, after days and days of searching for an answer. Thanks a mil
