Guild Wars 2

Trying to update Gw2, and getting:

You do not have suffiecient privileges to patch the file at this location. Please log in as and administrator and try again.

I have logged in as Admin, and I’ve repeatedly tried to get this to work..

What else should I try?

Make sure you have NTFS write/full control permissions to the game folder and subfolders.

An administrator account doesn’t mean you’re always giving administrative privileges. You need to right click Gw2.exe and run it as an administrator. To avoid this, move your Guild Wars 2 folder out of Program Files, which is a protected directory. If that is what you were doing however, then it’s problem with read/write permissions.
