Q:
Hello!
I recently purchased a SSD and wanted to put GW2 on it with out redownloading and patching if it’s possible, but wasn’t sure if I could just move the files over to the new SSD?
Is it as easy as dragging the folder over to the new SSD?

That’s what I did, the only oddity I have is that it “patches” each time I open the installer. Which generally means it scans for the files without downloading anything and then starts as normal.
This started happening after I moved it to the SSD, but may not be related.

Yeah, it’s possible, on occasion when I have to repair/reinstall/re-download the game, I have found it easier to just copy my wife’s game directory to my ext usb3 drive and then onto my pc.
Your repatching is probably because your GW2 is not reading your data in your Documents folder – there’s a GW2 folder in there.
