Is my computer good enough?
it will run OK nothing fanzy about the grprahic card, it will run med/high probably withour many issues. The processor in the other hand, will run OK in PVE but i wouldn’t have high expectations for WvW, since it allready run awfull on 3000$ Rigs. I think is a good bang for the buck PC config, it will run OK, not great, but hey u will get 60% of the performance of a 3000$ system for 20% of the price. A smart call
If u can change the processor for an I3 3220 it would be much beter for 60$+ or something like that, u will apreciate a much stronger CPU for WvW believe me.
WvWvW is very demanding of the CPU atm. Not sure what your personal definition of “no lag” is in terms of FPS, but likely you would want a better CPU and OC.

What i mean by no lag is, will i be able to roll/cast spells/escape smoothly?
That’s still pretty subjective. Some people want 30 FPS min, while others demand 60, but some can be happy at 15.

The system is ‘decent’ for mid range graphics . However, you may struggle in built up areas as your CPU is pretty low rated.
Change that, it would be lucky to run on medium. That CPU is VERY low rated. If you could switch it for a better one, you shouldnt run into many issues with this game.
Try and see if you can get a semi good i3 CPU. Those dont cost much but put out much more power than the CPU you are thinking of getting. Something like a 2105 should do ok.
Do not understimate the power of a dual core CPU in older game engines like Unreal engine 3. This engine is designed for dual core processors. GW2 run as good on a dual core procesor as on a 6 core clocked at the same speed. The pentium G620 is a sandy bridge family processor If u underclock a i7 2600k to g620 speeds (2.6ghz) u will get about the same performance on both, and yeah for a 60$ chip that is pretty impressive :P
You will probably get 15-20 fps in heavy wvw zergs. With a i5 3570k im running mid 30s in stonemist zergs with 100+ people.
Dual core runs games well and cheap, but I still would go for a Quad. GW2 wont fully utilize all 4 cores, more like 2.5ish, but it still leaves room for other stuff in the background to run.

So what do you think i should get my hands on? A i5?
If you go for an i5, do not go for anything less than a 2500
If you got extra $ to spend. I would go for a Core i5. Try to go for a 2500K or higher, the “K” lets you OC with unlock multiplier.

Yes get an i5 you wont regret it I upgraded to an i5 3570k from a phenom 2×4 965 and its soo much better and smoother then before.
I can actually play WvW with out getting a headache because of crappy 10fps zergs now i get 30-40 fps in huge zergs.
