Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

I know there has been an increasing number of posts asking this question, but I have yet to come across a post that lists my specific PC specs. I’ve been asking around in forum posts but I haven’t been getting any answer.

Anyway, I’m running :
295 GTX
i7 920 @ 3.6 GHZ
6 gbddr3
1920×1080p

I’m not sure where my system should be when running GW2. I’ve been getting a constant 50 fps in all areas of the game on high settings with all eye candy (shadows, post processing, shaders) off. The only problem is when there are a lot of people on my screen. Even if they are just standing there afking, my FPS drops to around 40. In WvW I had around 40-50 fps constant, but since the most recent update I barely reach 20 in WvW.

Going back 4 years ago, I had the most high-end computer that could of possibly been made. Even though my computer still demolishes BF3, D3, CS:GO, I’m having significant trouble with GW2. I know that the game just released and that there will be performance fixes, but still, what do you guys think my FPS should be on high settings?

Peformance results are all over the place at the moment, we see high end machines with low fps and the other way around.

What I’ve noticed is that Nvidia 6 series VGAs are the ones getting worst performance. Also this game is heavily CPU dependant and yours is very good.

Having said that if I had to guess I’d say your machine will handle it just fine.
