Guild Wars 2

I’m thinking about resetting my computer to its factory settings, but don’t want to be screwed when it comes to re-installing Guild Wars 2. For this reason, I would like to know if there is a download limit for the installation discs – and if so, how many?

No limit. Just backup the gw2 folder where it got installed so you don’t have to download patches again

Nope, you can go crazy on how many times you download the game. Your account is tied to your serial key you provided, the game client isn’t tied to anything.

To save yourself some hassle of redownloading anything, you can simply backup your guild wars 2 folder to an external location such as a memory stick (16GB or larger required) or external hard drive.

Then simply copy the files back over to your fresh install of windows.

This should save you considerable time since even with the install discs there is still roughly 70-80 thousand files required to be downloaded. This will not be needed if you back up prior to the factory reset.
