I normally never have any problems with lag, but tonight I had to give up playing. My net was fine, and I had no problems anywhere else than GW2.

same thing here. was fine all day but last night and this evening my ping jumped from the usual 30-40 to 1000-3000.

Having the same since yesterday, either a consistent +100 ping or spikes up to a 1000.
Can confirm it’s nothing with my home network or provider, must be Telia or one of Ncsoft’s servers.

Same problem here, since yesterday night.
Usually I have around 70 ping, now it’s over 2000.

More than likely one of the many nodes your connection passes through. You can probably rule out the Anet server’s due to the fact it was not affecting every player. Next time you are having the ping issues run pingplotter using the IP of the map you are in as the target. This will show you where the problem is.

Same issues here since 4 days. And it seems that I’m not the only one having these lags issues. It’s literally unplayable in WvW, cause you have a random ping, like an erratic path. It grants you randomly a ping between 20 and 2k, or more if you are lucky. To be clear, I’ve had no lags issues since 2 years soooo …

Same issues today is game unplayable normal got 20-30 ping now got 500-4k ping.

Same, Malaysia, kick me out mid pvp (another account) get reported for idling. and called vicious names too because of the constant disconnect and lag in PvP.

lol thought i was the only one. something wrong with our (Malaysia) routing to the servers? i could get connection without DC (although still high ping) with a VPN routed to Canada. but i would like to play without a VPN, as it did not require one before.

used to be able to play without constant Error 7:11:3:191:101 just before the Lunar patch i think, and connection was never as bad as i remembered (played Gw2 since Flame & Frost). am able to play other always online/multiplayer games like Diablo 3 fine though.

Your problems are starting at node 8, you will need to contact you ISP and provide this information to them.

And sometimes it goes to 1500ms in the latency graph but just for few secs.

The lag is always around the same hours everydays. After 1h or 2h the lag ends and i get my normal ping, 70-98ms. And its just in GW2

you could try a third party VPN, i used Windscribe. connect to one that has lowest latency for you.

at least it lasts only 1-2h for you, and your normal ping is great.

it’s also the IP, 64.25.38.238 had a lot of packet loss for me too, and DC problems, but few days ago i got another IP and seems back to normal for the moment.

the lag spike to 1500ms is enough to cause u to DC with Error 7:11:3:191:101 sometimes, if it cannot sync back after the spike.

Same here.
Lag seems to be affecting only particular servers (checked via /IP).
When it occurs there is a massive packet loss (checked by tracert and GW2 tool).
It used to be pvp and WvW problem only, but now it happens in PVE aswell.
I’ve triend everything I could, and everything I could find on the forums.
I’d be thankfull for a qucik response, because the is in an uplayable state for now.

Your problem starts @ node 7 which is a tier 3 provider. This provider is contracted by your ISP to provide their routing. The only thing you can do is contact your ISP and provide this information to them.

Actually i havent been DCed because of that lag spike but i had arround 1,5k to 5k ping in game and thats a rly high ping and if it is a real ping instead of a weird problem im pretty sure i should be DCed before to get2k or even 1k ping. Sorry for my english

Yea something is up. Last night doing raid, 4 people in the group (at same time) spiked to +1-2 K ping. We are from all over Europe. The ping lasted for 10ish mins (and only for GW2, not for TS or any other test done online).

I thought it was just me, my ping is normally around 200-300, but the last few days has been constantly fluctuating from 300-600 during normal PvE, but during world bosses like Teq it was 4000+!! everyone else was off defending the lasers while i was still looking at Tequatl

I have been having MASSIVE amounts of lag which is getting worse.
It began with the Lake Doric patch and as I say it is getting worse every few seconds it will judder or freeze for a second or two or sometimes more and often I am downed because I cannot move. Frequently it will freeze for up to 15 seconds or so and several times I have been killed simply because I cannot interact with anything. Can anyone PLEASE HELP as it is killing my love for the game.

I am still using the 32 bit game – I don’t know if changing to the 64 bit version will help this issue and if so, how do I do it please?

It seems unlikely that the 64-bit client will fix any of your described issues, but if it is possible to run it I very strongly suggest you use that since the memory related issues it addresses are well worth it.

Anyway, https://www.pingplotter.com/fix-your-network is a good guide to tracking down where the network related issues sit — your ISP, ANet, or somewhere between. With any luck that will help track down where the problem sits.

Beyond that, get in touch with support via a ticket — that’ll get you a direct response. (Though the first thing they will want to exclude is network problems outside their network, so it’s worth sending them the details if you have tested and excluded that.)

I was lucky I could just post this as the issues disappeared from one second to the other. The ping is now at 250ms, but I remember it being down to 180ms at least here before 5th April.

My game has been lagging pretty badly, I’ve been sitting between 150-1600 ping. I’ve attached my ping plotter data. I think the issue is coming from Anet servers.

You are correct. File a support ticket with anet, and show them that screenshot, and they should be able to help you.

All of those are symptoms of network connectivity problems. Follow the guide at https://www.pingplotter.com/fix-your-network to figure out where the issue is, and who to talk to about fixing it.

Both my fiance and I have noticed a recent spike in lag of late. She’s using an older nVidia card, but I have brand new GTX 1050 and plenty of regular memory as well as 4 gigs of GPU memory. Normally I’m at high resolution and a steady 60+ FPS. But just this last week suddenly I’m hitting lag spikes like crazy, especially in any area with lots of players.

FPS drops in areas with many players is a fairly normal thing; one of the biggest limitations of GW2 client performance is that a significant chunk of work is done on a single thread, so that usually ends up being the limiting factor — because there isn’t a single core CPU fast enough to deliver 60FPS in existence. :/

Lag spikes, on the other hand, if nothing locally has changed, are more likely to be some sort of network deal. https://www.pingplotter.com/fix-your-network has a good guide to tracking down where that happens, and how to get it resolved. (If you get in touch with support via a ticket, they will ask you to run through roughly the same process, btw, so might as well do it, and then if it is anet, submit that with the ticket to save time.)

Ever since the patch on the 18th the game has been more or less unplayable. Constant lag spikes ranging from anywhere between 300 to 4k alongside constant disconnections. Was mad enough to attempt 100 fractal challenge mode with it and everyone in the team was experiencing the same thing. Got a support ticket open with anet now about it.
