Hey everybody,

first I wanted to say that I am playing on a German server and opened up a German support ticket already. But since the answer I got was not satisfying at all, I wanted to write here. Maybe the support-Dev in the English forum can answer this or somebody else experienced a similar problem.

Also, if anything is hard to understand, please tell me. Since I am not a native speaker, I might have a weird way of explaining.

This is the last chance for me. I already stopped playing GW2, the game I love so much, because I am that much disappointed. Asking here for help now is the last chance I see.

What happened?

On tuesday the 29th I was playing WvWvW on some borderlands. I wanted to sell some useless items to a npc (the ones that fix your armour as well). But I accidently sold three of my PvE-gear items (was clicking too fast…). Right after, I wanted to use the rebuy function to get them back. They were also listed there. I clicked on them and they disappeared from the list. But I did not get the items back. They were not in my inventory and I also did not get the system message that I got them (the one in the chat after you turned the option on).

I wrote a ticket, but the GM just told me that the support does not have the technical possibilities to return the items. I asked him who could do this then, where I needed to post or send a ticket to. But I just got the answer: It is not possible.

My thread in the German support sub-forum was answered by three players, but not by the German support-Dev.

You could now say: Screw it, just buy the items again, what’s the matter? But the fact that upsets me that much and that keeps me from playing GW2 ever since is that these items where part of my PvE-gear set. I bought the magitech-skins from the trading post. I used real money for this. I often did this to support the game because I think it is nice and it deserves some support.

So that means that due to a bug in the game, I lost something I bought with real money, something I used to support the game with. And all I get is the answer that there is nothing that can be done here. This really upsets me. It disappoints me. It makes me sad.

Why does nobody have the technical possibility to send me a set (or just the missing parts) of the magitech-skins? That is all I ask for.

I really hope that someone had a similar issue and can maybe tell me a way to get at least the skins (I don“t care about the armour) back. Otherwise I have to say goodbye to this great game.

The agent responded accurately. We cannot generate and send you items that you sold in error. That’s why there’s a confirmation system in place, to ask you to be sure you’re doing exactly as you intend. Players click “yes” and “yes” without a second thought. I know, I’ve done it, too.

In the end, it’s our responsibility as players to make sure we’re taking the actions we intend in the game, and that is why the agent responded as he or she did.
