Hello ANet, I am wondering if this can be escalated.

My ticket number is 1698233

I noticed two days ago that, for reasons apparently unknown, 3 superior runes and 3 wvw infusions had disappeared from my ascendant armour.(The infusions were added a year or even longer ago, the runes were probably swapped out after then, not sure when).

I have been told I can’t be helped.

Now, I understand that some people might ‘try it on’ without ever having the items in the first place, but surely you should be able to see in your logs that these items were there a few weeks ago and that I didn’t remove them myself (not even sure if this is possible!).

So now I have to replace these runes and also the infusions (have to save up laurels again!!) with no assurance that this won’t happen again!

I am really not happy about this response. This has happened through no fault of my own and now I am being punished for your bug.

Please can this ticket be escalated to a senior support person?

yes it does. from the wiki:

You can now change the stats on Ascended weapons and armor by combining an Anthology of Heroes, the equipment you want to change, five globs of ectoplasm, and an exotic insignia or inscription. This process destroys all upgrades.

Yep when you change stats using the forge it destroys the original and gives back a brand new item which is why it had no upgrades on it.

oh for the love of…do we get a warning when this happens? I can’t remember.

In that case, I take it back and apologise..would have been neat if they had told me in their response though!

better my mistake than a bug that could happen again.
