As a note, you know you can turn camera shake off in the options? There are several camera related options you can play with to find something that might work for you.
Also, race has a lot to do with camera mechanics (charr & norn have the worst time and make things difficult for others in tight spaces too).
However, I’m not sure this is really/specifically Mac related unless you are referring to the camera bug in the known bugs sticky.

I did not know of these options, other than offsetting the camera from your toon. I knew race played a role in it, but I am a human ranger (sometimes the pet throws me off as well by hiding ledges). I have read some of the camera bugs, but I have a combination of shuttering while walking, and sometimes I still get the camera that just starts spinning out of control for a few seconds. However, it is no where near as bad as when the beta first came out.

Could you post what Mac you are on plus your system specs?
Also, test out the game with various settings to see if this improves at all. (I.e. different camera options, lower graphics settings, lower resolution setting, etc) I can’t be more specific without knowing what you are working with.

I don’t use a mac and it’s been a while since I took my Charr ranger out for a spin but if I’m not mistaken you can deactivate your pet at any time. Confirmed, right besides pet management where you see what animal you currently have, to the left you have a button called stow pet.

I am not sure if this is the same problem but when I first started this game, I had horrible experiences with the view spinning and shifting. Partly it was the mouse I was using then but also I read somewhere (here I think) that it occurs if you log out and then log back in using the window shortcut that is left on the screen. Better to close that one down and start again from the task bar. I hope that makes sense. I lack the technical speak to phrase it more meaningfully A different problem happens when your character gets stuck spinning in one direction. This is not limited to the Mac only as it happens to a friend on a PC as well. Just pressing the key to go in that direction will stop it.

Figlilly, yes, those are both common issues unfortunately… And the sticky keystroke still occurs constantly lol.
