Guild Wars 2

I am using a Logitech G510 keyboard, with the GW2 applet installed, and running Logitech Gaming Software 8.30.

I didn’t have this problem in the BWE events. However since live, whenever the game loses focus, either from alt-tab, clicking outside the window in windowed mode, or even if the computer switches to screensaver, my keyboard loses most its functionality, but only for Guild Wars 2

I lose any response from the keys for movement, menus, skills etc. I can type in the text box of chat, if it is opened with the mouse, but enter isn’t recognized. I can link items from inventory into chat, however. Mouse functionality is unaffected.

Keyboard function can only be restored by by restarting the game client, as far as I’ve been able to to tell. I have tested with the Logitech software switched off, and get the same behaviour

Any thoughts/suggestions

I have exactly the same issue, using my Logitech MX5000 keyboard.

I have exactly the same issue from time to time. Logitech Keyboard(old one) and Laser G5 Mouse also from Logitech.

Have you tried playing without the Logitech software running in the background?

Problem happens to be as well. I have a Wave Keyboard, the problem only happens in GW2 no other game. My mouse is the Logitech Performance MX and has no problems at all. Both the mouse and the keyboard are using the same receiver so i know the receiver is fine.

Ive tested with and without Logitech Software. Problem, to me, only occurs since last patch. Can play for hours, sometimes minutes, its a random event. Without keyboard/mouse, im forced to reset PC manually.

Hmm, that’s odd.

I would suggest going into device manager, uninstalled the keyboard from there (tick remove drivers as well) and then reinstalling.

I have the Performance MX mouse and the setpoint software running the background and have no issues, so it’s something related to the keyboard.

Also, this is going to sound incredibly patronising but please don’t take it as such – when was the last time you changed your batteries? Keyboard will randomly cut out when the batteries get low. Just to rule it out.

Both keyboard and mouse are wired. I had no issues on all beta weekends and for the first 2,5 weeks….only with the recent patch did this start to happen. Im guessing its something on gw2 side, a lot more ppl seems to be having strange issues with keyb and mouse.

I am having the same problem.

My movement keys (ASDW, & the Arrow Keys) stop working suddenly & inexplicably. Other buttons work: Y for Friends, G for Guild, O for Trading Company, etc.

This has ONLY started happening since an Update or so ago (about 3 days). It NEVER happened before then, not in Beta, not ever. And, as other said, it ONLY happens with GW2.

The Problem is VERY FRUSTRATING AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP!!

got the same problem using roccat isku, but for me no keys work in-game.. its not the keyboard as i can alt+tab out and write this.......
