I need assistance on recovering my original GW1 account, and then help with linking it to this current account. I have already submitted a ticket about the issue but its been upwards of almost a couple of days now. Is there anyone on here who could be of any assistance?

You have to keep in mind that there are millions of accounts. And most likely thousands of people in need of assistance, so it will take time. Support are only human after all, they can’t work faster than humanly possible.

As for the waiting time: It is pretty much standard in this market to have a couple of days waiting time for support. It is not something unique to ArenaNet.

It won’t move along faster.
There is a queue. You will get support when it is your turn.

You will likely wait longer than the usual 72-96 hours for support for Guild Wars (One). Posting in the aforementioned Sticky will do little, as the CS Team that posts on the forums has little to no knowledge in regards to GW1 support. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
