I seem to be having a problem with lag when in combat, can’t say I have noticed anything while running around normally, but yeah as soon as I get into combat I start to have issues, it’ll be fine for 5/10 seconds and then it’ll hang for 1/2 seconds, It seems to be when I’m using skills/or being hit.

I’m in the UK, I am with EE.

This has been an issue for probably 6+ months now. I haven’t been playing all that much but every time I have tried to play it’s been a consistent problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

My first reaction is that your ISP is throttling your bandwidth in some manner. If you have noted this happens during specific times of the day, then that is another indication of this possibility.

The other is that your local network bandwidth is being saturated by other users. Are you on wireless and is someone else on the same wireless and possibly streaming video or downloading large files intermittently? That can cause delay lags like you are seeing (as the only time GW2 needs immediate bandwidth to function correctly is when you are in combat).

Hey Brother, cheers for the response, to be honest it might be my ISP, thinking about it more I think this problem only cropped up when I switched (might be time to get a new one, even just to see). Or maybe just give them a phone first in fact and see if they know anything.

And other users, it’s normally just me using the internet at the times I normally try to play at.
