Started for me about April just when i would guest on high pop servers to enter COF. Since last weeks update i know lag severely at around 6pm to 10pm gmt with lots of DC’s Occuring.

Currently in Sheffield, UK.
ISP is the University of Sheffield, and my connection is very very fast.

I’ll see if anything changes when I go back home in a few days.

Hope this gets fixed soon, I just don’t bother playing in the evenings now.

Sad thing is that this thread will grow to 6 pages long like the other one, Other threads will be made, Players will be angry and another month will pass before some Moderator appears and asks for the same information all over again.

Just took a wander around Wayfairer to grab some quick coffers and minions… lag was terribad…. as was Dragonball again earlier depending on which instance you land into.

Try using an air compressor and blow out all the dust there is in your PCs, see if that helps. I learned not to underestimate dust and how well it decreases performance. I went from insane/unplayable lag, to slight lag in heavily populated areas.

I’ve been having delay issues too. I really want to jump back in but the game is fighting me at every turn to not choke up.

OK I have now fixed all my lag issues (or they co-incidently vanished as i did something)
ALl i did was to Update Windows and dwnload new drivers and hot fixes for windows and i am now lag free. Worth a shot guys takes small amount of time and may work for you aswell. Post results and lets hope its that simple

Yup, my games been fine all week and now suddenly its unplayable. My latency monitor shows 40ms aswell. Dunno whats going on :/

My game has also been ok recently until this evening when the dreaded lag returned.

Same thing is happening to me now, too. I’ve been having the disconnecting issues for a few days but now it’s gotten worse.

Now when I open GW2 I get to the character selection, then once I choose a character it either just greys out “play” in the bottom corner and freezes until it says it can’t connect, or it goes to a forever loading screen in which case after around 10 minutes it says it can’t connect.

Then once that’s all over with and I finally get GW2 off of my screen my internet will just no longer connect at all. Or it will for about a minute before going offline again. This will continue until I reset both my modem and my router. As of this round I have yet to try to log in, which is the only reason I’m capable of even posting this.

This is so far beyond frustrating me.

Just for anyone who is only skimming this thread and doesn’t feel like reading my paragraphs, this is what’s happening:

1. I open GW2. It goes to the character screen.
2. It crashes and says no internet connection.
3. My internet connection is lost if I look at my network connections.
4. I restart my computer, router, and modem and my internet connection is fine until I try again to open GW2.
5. Starts over from number 1.
6. I put my face in my palms and decide to post about it.

Came here after experiencing issues IDENTICAL to carleyburr.5780. The issues started today, and I thought it was related to the drivers for a wireless USB receiver I installed. However, since it matches identically to carleyburr’s symptoms I have to believe it’s something else.

My gut feeling tells me it has something to do with the event…only way to confirm that though is when the event is over -waves good bye to this months monthly-

But with all the headline news lately, I have to admit that the thought crossed my mind if that prism / nsa/snowden project is also affecting us since they are tapping major lines on the internet. heh! Unlikely….but……..
