Lag spikes
Having a similar issue here. Usually I have a pretty good ping with an average of approximately 130, but the past two days I’ve been getting massive spikes that last anywhere between 5 seconds to a minute. During these spikes, my ping goes up to three or four times this number, before stabilizing. Another guildie reports having a similar experience, but no other games seem to be affected by this issue. I read through some reports of similar experiences occurring around 7 months ago, but wasn’t able to find much of a consensus on the cause.
For the past 3 days, WvW (NA T1) has been unplayable. The lag is far worse than usual, and I have a stable connection. Everyone in Teamspeak complain about it all at the same times. People just rubberbanding all over the place when nothing is happening and skill lag in smaller fights. Forget any 3-way fights.

Interesting. That definitely sound server-side. Interestingly, the arcdps meter actually has support for showing some stats, including the “tick rate” from the server — the rate at which normal background processing is being done as the simulation of the world advances.
That’s normally 25 ticks per second, but it would be interesting to know if you see that change substantially during these lag periods?
Same issue here, it was fine until yesterday that with the new feature wvw update my ping went from normal (200) to not normal (700-1500). I’m in Sanctum of Rall paired with Henge of Denravi; also I live in Argentina, South America, and WvW is totally unplayable, my powers won’t work (until I’m either useless late or dead).
So my guess is something happened in server side.

It’s possible, but that sounds like it could be caused by intermittent network issues. https://www.pingplotter.com/fix-your-network is a good guide to tracking down where those originate from, and I’d encourage you to run through that process.
If it is in the anet network, or server side, filing a support ticket might be worthwhile — though they will first ask you do do exactly that sort of network diagnostic, so I’d suggest doing it first, and including the results in the initial ticket. Saves a round trip.
i cant play wvw anymore..Ping from 200 skyrocketed to 3000..
