So I did what everyone said, I know little to nothing about computers, however I have never lagged in this game at least long term until the most recent patches here is ping from cmd prompt. Can anyone tell me what this means? And if its on my end what I can do?

alter.net is a Arena net server so they’re dropping your packets causing the lag. In other words it’s not your fault it’s theirs.

It’s pretty much a SOL situation. I can’t play either. Refuse to start tinkering around with settings… ain’t my computer that’s broken. Will definitely be withholding gem purchases for the next couple months. Not because they have a problem, but because of their blatant refusal to even acknowledge there is one.

So your saying its not anet’s fault and the other guy is saying it is. Either way am I correct in understanding that I’m still up a creek without a paddle? Is there nothing I can do to resolve this? I have my gripes about the game, but I do actually enjoy playing wvw, and with a 1-2 skill delay on kit switching with engineer it is totally unplayable, and is compeltley ruining it for me. Even getting on 30 minutes ago and doing my daily was such a chore because all my abilities would misfire and be delayed. Any help from ANYONE who knows what they are doing would be greatly appreciated.

So just thought I’d update this as I just got on and had no lag whatsoever for the first time in the past 2-3 days. Hopefully this will continue and I will actually be able to play WvW at reset tonight. Goodluck to everyone else.

Between hops 6 and 7 and 7 and 8 there is a huge jump in latency. And that’s before the NC Interactive cluster at hop 12. At the very least it looks as if qwest and alter is having issues.

Same here, lag again was fine up until about 5pm est, this is absolutely not a client issue
