Laggin after an hour of playing
Windows xp sp3
nvidia geforce gts 250
3gb ram
Also, while playing, even if master sound turned to minimum i sometimes hear a loud sound that is like something have fallen in the cave or sort of
That sounds like it isn’t a connection lag issue, but more like a hardware or software issue. Did you update the graphic drivers? If not:

It sounds like you are having a heat-related issue – one of more of your computer’s components is getting too hot, perhaps the sound is some sort of temperature alarm ?
To confirm this or rule this out, you could use something like PC Wizard 2012 (something that can monitor CPU and GPU temps, if you don’t have such an application already) – note your “idle” temperature before playing and once you hit problems, alt-tab out of the game and check the temperatures and loads.
Also, have you cleaned inside your computer recently ? I know more than a few people who have taken this time to clear out some crippling dust bunnies – they can be a big source of overheating.

I have xp. Anyway it was the first thing i tried. Should agree that its not about connection, but something wrong with drivers/directx/etc. But on beta i had no problems, so idk.
Ow, yeah:
Onboard sound (Analog Devices SoundMAX Integrated HD Digital Audio)
Okay try this.
- Update all your hardware (gfx, sound, motherboard etc…)
- Google things simular to your problem and try the solutions people give
- Dust off your pc! Like Ceallach wrote, dust is a known problem for computers that freezes like the problem you explained.
- Try disable your antivirus and test it for a couple of hours (beware that your system isn’t secured while doing this, so try having this as your last resort.

Turned off antivirus- terrible lags after 20 mins
turned off sound – same effect
pc wizard showed that processor heating went from ~ 78 to 90(dont know how high is it) while playing and down to 85 when i closed the game.
gonna clean the dust now, mb it will work.
85c idle temp??? thats very high
i have the ATI HD 6870 and mine also heats up to 90c after about 2 hours of play, and then i start to lag. But when i shut the game down for a bit my idle temps are more in the 50-60c range. 85c idle is far from normal unless your pc is sitting out in the sun when you play.
Dust that thing, and if thats not enough you may need to explore some other cooling options for your case.
Also depending on your card you could find a program to force the gpu fan to run faster….. but cleaning out the dust is the first priority
Wow that a lot. Try installing MSI afterburner to control your GPU fan. Im using it, and i have noticed that GW2 makes the GFX’s work a lot. You can make the fan run a defined speed depending on the degrees.

cleared the dust, 50 now. Should check the temperature with game running.

Great. 50 is a progress. Give us a update when you have tested it. That way we can link other people to this thread if something simular occours.

most likely it was dust. played for ~30 min, temperature was ~ 51 and no lagging occured yet. gonna try out ascalon catacombs as a test, and write bout it later.
yeah it was dust. played for 2 hours and no insane lagging occured. although the temperature rised to 70-75, all fine. should change coolers and clear more often. anyway thanks.
