Guild Wars 2

I play on a german server and a lot of my guildies use a german client, but i prefer to play the game in english.
Until my HD died a week ago i had a german windows installed and pressing the right control key translated the game to german as long as i pressed it (the language toggle feature). But now i installed an english windows on my new HD using German (Switzerland) as locale and keyboard layout. But the language toggle doesn’t work anymore. What determines the “secondary” language of Guild Wars 2? And in case it’s the language of the installed Windows, is there a way to override it?

under region and languages, click the keyboard and languages tab and add the language you want under change keyboards

as i said, my keyboard is already set to Swiss German

I have this exact same problem, im using a Steelseries merc stealth ( language Croatian) and the mod from the guru forums, yet after about 10 mins of play the F and V keys switch places. I have changed the language in region to UK, US and also Croatian and yet the game pad always changes the keys around.

Its highly annoying for me as i have ostio-arthritus in my left hand so the game pad is perfect for me. Can anyone help as to why the keybinds keep changing all the time?

Hm this is strange. I had a similar problem after switching to a new keyboard. I put up a thread here:

Fun thing is: Windows 7 64 bit its primary language is English but I have a German (German) keyboard layout and currency, etc. set. With my old keyboard I could switch with the right CTRL key with no problems. My old keyboard is at my laptop atm where language toggle works like a charm.

The option to “buy a new keyboard” is not an option. :/ Why should I spent money for a new keyboard?

Oh and fun fact: I tried to switch the toggle key to something else (like “End”) but still not working. Maybe someone else did figure out what is wrong.
