So here is the problem. I used to be able to run this game at 60+ FPS at launch. Then around November/December there was a sudden FPS drop to about around 20-30 FPS. I have a Lenovo Y570 and I have my drivers updated, I have tried both old and new version and I even reinstalled Windows 7. With the coming of the New Year I now can’t literally play this game on my computer because it crashes at the launcher. I figured out that it wont run on windows 7 so I ran it in compatibility mode windows service pack 3. The FPS and speed was obviously terrible once again. I then re-installed the game again and I deleted the documents folder which fixed the Windows 7 issue… so the game now runs without having to use Compatability mode but it is once again at 10-20 fps at low settings. What is wrong? I was able to run this on high settings at 60+ fps before but now I can barely run it at low settings above 18-20 FPS? Also it doesn’t matter what the settings are on… high or low… it still runs at the same FPS… No vertical sync or stuff like that is enabled and the game is run with administrator

Install the latest nvidia optimus drivers

open up the nvidia control panel, and search for guild wars 2 under the application profiles list.

Set the preferred gpu to nvidia performance.

The Nvidia Optimus Drivers aren’t compatible with GeForce 555M I think. I just tried and it said not compatible with hardware. Also it is already set to NVidia GPU at “Select the prefered graphics processor” I don’t see a preffered GPU option
