Guild Wars 2

Having same problems here since last patch. Launcher DL speed is down to 0-70 KB/sec while my Internet is at 800 KB/sec.
Edit: Took me over half an hour to start the game last two days.
Edit 2: No, I don’t have ANY firewall or anti virus stuff on my PC.
Edit 3: Make it 1 hour for today, still at 85% after 50 mins.
Edit 4: If I restart the launcher, it starts at full speed and then goes down after a few seconds. I am pretty sure it’s from your end, especially because it came up after last patch.
Edit 5: If you are reading this Ashley, Hello and thanks for reading it. Just wanted to also mention that I am also from EU (Germany) in case that matters.
Edit 6: Aaand Patching just went down to 0,00KB/s while I obviously still have internet. lets make it 2 hours then.
PS: I am only patching the small hotfix for 2 hours.

Moved my GW2 file location to test a new download, my 100Mbit connection is sitting at around 11MB/s for downloading via the GW2 launcher. So it’s not server-side.

AkamaiTechnologies has 10,000+ servers located all over the world that stream and provide content for almost anything and everything. Why it is grabbing the stream though from the launcher is strange, as it should be direct.

Try a speedtest to Dallas, TX using Softlayer and see what results you are seeing. That would be a good starting point to see a different connection to Dallas.
