Guild Wars 2

Hello.

I was thinking about buying a new computer, since old one doesnt run gw2 too well. I need a laptop, since i move arround alot.

I was thinking about buying lenovo g710, since i get it for a good price.

Specs are:

Procesor: Intel Core i7–4702MQ (2,2GHz L3 6MB)
Display: 17,3’’ HD+ Glare LED Display
Resolution: 1600×900
RAM: 8GB (4+4) DDR3 PC3–12800 (1600MHz) SDRAM, 16GB max.
Hard drive: 1TB Serial ATA 2 (3 Gbit/s), 5400rpm
Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce 820M, DDR3, 2GB
Mainboard: Intel HM86 Express

I would upgrade the hdd with ssd.

Can someone tell me how good would gw2 run on this pc. I play pve as well as wvw.

Everything on that laptop is good EXCEPT for the Nvidia 820 GPU. You will want ATLEAST an 840, Ideally an 850 or 860, Esp since the resolution is 1600×900.

But would GPU matter much? Since gw2 is CPU based?

yes, if the GPU sucks no CPU can make up for it.

You need a 840 or 850, ideally an 860, if you are going to be buying a laptop with a 800 series GPU in it.
