Lessen Flashing/Strobe Effects
Reflections, Shadows, Shaders, Post processing all set to lowest possible, and enable effect LOD. This won’t affect static assets, like the UIs, but it lessens the impact of the game’s dynamic lighting behavior.
If your epilepsy is really bad, I would consider looking into tinted, photochromic, or polarized glasses to filter it out. If you’re not epileptic, then stop playing games in the dark. :P
Thanks, starlinvf. Not playing in the dark; already wearing tinted glasses and using f.lux to set screens darker – the problem with dimming screens using f.lux is that this dims everything on the screen and makes some things too hard to see. Just trying to limit the amount of flashes.
Yes, I have epilepsy, but strobes are not a current trigger, but they have been in the recent past. I’m looking for preventative measures (other than to quit gaming). I know it would be a lot of programming on ANet’s part, but my wish would be to have the option to turn bright flashes off. A girl can dream!
