Download GPU-Z if you don’t have it already.
Fire up GPU-Z and then GW2, keep an eye on your Bus Interface link speeds. the far right should read x16 3.0 or something is wrong with the connection between your GPU and motherboard.
Seeing as it’s happening on PS2 I’m leaning towards this being the culprit.
It’s been quite common over the years.
Remove Local.dat located in “C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2”.
After that repair your client with the commandline parameter /repair added to your gw2 shortcut, dont touch your pc in the meanwhile it crashes easily.
Make sure your graphics card is in the x16 slot (usually closest to the CPU).

That should not be the issue if he runs other games at a solid fps though.
It can be an issue. Many time’s I’ve seen reports just like this, with other Triple A games running fine. Plus the games it mentioned are all fairly light on resources. Division is pretty highly instanced with most interactions pre-scripted. Overwatch just isn’t heavy on GPUs at all with its low resolution textures, flat shaders and basic animations.
Do you use Windows 10? There’s been many complaints of the Xbox app’s game bar causing trouble. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/Fix-For-Big-FPS-Drop-MS-Win-10-Update/6358498

I don’t have a login or whatever, nor do I have an Xbox so I used the final option (powershell) to remove it altogether.
That was one of the first things I did when I got my new comp and have no issues with Guild Wars 2, and I have worse specs (i5-6500, 8 gb ram, 1060.)
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
