i cant seem to get on , i keep getting the message in a grey box on my screen :

guild wars 2 had encountered an error ,

the game client is unable to gain access to the loginserver at this time ,
this is most commonly caused by firewall settings blah blah blah….

i have seen this b4 i have normally waited 5 mins and it works but its not now for some reason , anyone else had this issue ?

Dont expect forums staff to do help its not there job !!!!

Apparently the servers are down. Or at least the european servers.

Got the same problem with the same error codes.

I can ´t log in as well. I was playing a few minutes ago, but then my boyfriend told me he can´t log in. So I turned off my game and tried his account ´cos I wanted to help him… And now I can ´t log in back.

EDIT: Well, I tried to log in now… And it´s working… I don´t understand it

I can’t log into the game either and when I have logged in in the past, my Account Username changed to my email which I found strange. Now I deleted all the sessions and IP’s from my account thinking that maybe hackers had gotten some info but now all I get is

“Failure

An error occurred with your request."

When I try and confirm the IP I will be using to play the game, and I can’t log in.

I Reset my password and tried to log in using a different pc and this fixed everything

Please, in the future, post log-in issues in the Technical Support Forum, so that the team can see that you are having difficulties of this type and look to see if this is a bigger issue than one that simply affects your account. Now, to the point: We are having technical issues that are preventing people from logging in. They usually receive some variation of Error Code 42.XX when they try to access the game. The server team is aware of this issue and is working on it as I write. We’re apologize for this inconvenience and will get things settled as soon as possible.

If you are getting a completely different error, one related to your password, than I invite you to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you. For tips on what information to provide in a ticket, please read this post.
