Guild Wars 2

When I go to start GW2 from my PC I get the following:

“Guild Wars 2 is unable to start because another copy is already running on this computer, or because the application has insufficient rights to successfully detect whether another copy is already running on this computer.”

The game is NOT running and I have no clue as to how to ‘give’ the game “sufficient rights”.
The only way I can ‘fix’ this issue is to restart my computer.

My thanks for any assistance with this matter.

as soon as i double-click on my desktop icon, a crash report appears…never had this problem before

what’s going on? i played with no issues about 12-14 hours ago…..

tried adding -repair to the command line…nothing changed, still get crash error window as soon as i use the shortcut

well, tried redownloading the game…same crash error window
so, i rebooted the computer…seemed to fix the issue, as I now have the log-in window up..yay

I’ve logged in and am at character selection screen..all’s well that ends well
