You could have been hacked. Maybe they got interrupted after taking the gold and haven’t had a chance to get back to you. Even hackers have real lives that interfere with stealing.
Do a full security sweep of your computer. Change the passwords on your emails. Change the password for the game.
Then contact support.
Top of page-support. Top of page-submit a request.
Be sure to select an option on the two drop down buttons.
Support should be able to tell you what happened and give you an account rollback if you were hacked, if you want one. Just be aware that they only give one rollback to each account for the lifetime of the account.

It is possible your account credentials have been stolen but they have not had time to clean out your account. You should proceed as if your account has been stolen. You need to scan your computer for malware. I suggest using two different ones just to be sure. Then you need to change your email and Guild Wars 2 passwords. Be sure to use two strong unique passwords you have never used anywhere before.
After you have secured your computer, game account and email you can submit a support request to have ArenaNet look into the issue.
