Guild Wars 2

I’ve been trying for at least 30 minutes now. I was able to log into the forums (though they’re very slow). I can’t log into the game though at all.

I keep getting login failure due to connection issues.

Error Code: 42:0:9001:4439

If logging into the forums is slow and you can’t log into the game, something is going on with your connection. Whether it’s the actual ISP, or a hop between you and Anet that is having issues. The login server is fine. I just tried it and I’ve been on the forums most of the afternoon with zero issues.

Well I got in to the game and am stuck on a loading screen. My guild has no tag on the character select page, it’s just [ ]….so there are problems somewhere.

My husband still can’t get the game to let him log in at all.

This was the latest error I got while trying to log in. I power cycled my modem & router as well. Everything not Gw2 related loads just fine.

Trying -repair now.

It’s weird everything was fine a few hours ago and now anything gw2 just does not want to load.

Not just you. I have the same issues. My connection to the internet and other games works fine, but cannot get through the GW2 login server.

Same issue here. FINALLY got in game but its unplayable due to latency.

Are you all from Southeastern US? I am and have the same problem. I’m in TN Also I have Comcast

64 bit client, windows 10. Just more info from my end. My ping was 1500 in game, but when I check it on speed test its is around 10. everything else works fine it seems on internet.,

Dang it Knoxville! Guess it’s just us. I finally got in and my ping ranges from normal to 2000+.

I was finally able to log in using -clientport 443

well just tried to log in again, and it was instant. no ping now. Give it a try

Try the -clientport 443 and see if that helps you.

The husband and I are in Knoxville too so I’m thinking Comcast has done something to throttle the usual port (or it’s cleared up coincidentally right when I tried that)

who knew there were so many Knoxville residents playing gw2! Thought I was alone.

This has got to be one of the best threads on Internet related issues I’ve seen, you guys did everything right instead of coming on ranting a how bad Anet’s servers are you guys got together posted you location and ISP and determined it was a local internet issue. Hopefully others will read this and see how a good thread on Internet issues should be done, if you have an Internet issue post you location and ISP and chances are this turns out to be a local issue and it will most likely clear up.
