Booted due to new build….now im getting a connection error and connot get back into the game

I’m having the same issue and I’ve had this in the past, most recently when the Halloween Event download took place. If I had to wager a guess it’s that their side of things can’t handle the traffic from all of the people trying to download the patch at once. Just gotta be patient.

was loading in Divinity’s Reach and got the reconnecting again.

cool. well actually not cool, but at least I know that I`m not the only one having the problem. thought something ocurred when tried to enter AC…

Tech team = full respect. Experienced the problem for about 10 mins and now i can log back in again. Well done, great to know the team is not sitting around idle.

Same. It’s bouncing back and forth trying to download. I assume this is because the patch is large and so many downloading it.

Did the patch servers die too now? I want this months subscription refunded…

ok, just got back in, char screen, some popup on loading screen, boots me out of game, and now i get connection error on loader screen

It’s not like I didn’t warn a few days ago that EXACTLY this would happen. A-Net, I’m well aware you don’t need more capacity for your login server, but get it anyway. Use a few virtual machines to share resources if necessary. But every time you get a big event going, half the players are locked out of it because you don’t have a good login server.

It is switching between ‘Connection errors detected. Retrying…’ and loading slowly, so I guess it is basically fixed and just takes some time until the servers stop being overused.

OMG ! I lost 30 minutes of ore farming, my character is rolled back O_O. WHAT THE HELL !

I’m just worried, as things were going down I tried buying a mini pack from the gem store. Nothing happened so (like an idiot) I clicked again. Hoping I don’t get two :P

Now it has updated the launcher but after that i got connection error.

Trying to download the patch but it keeps freezing and getting connection errors, I assume this is to do with the huge amount of people downloading it or?

yeah same here clicked on a waypoint and got knocked out started downloading a patch went to 0.00 kb/s now just says Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…

Same here – @devs, just wondering why you guys don’t impliment a bit torrent type patch system such as other mmos use – it would vastly increase download speeds and significantly reduce server load during patch times

I logged off to get the update and now when I try to open it I’m getting “Connection Errors Detected: Retrying”. It’s been like this for a while now and even restarting the client isn’t helping…

ehm, you do not exactly PAY any subscription… And GW2 tech team is way better than most of “pay to play” MMOs… So be patient…
