I started playing guild wars 2 about a month back, the first thing I did was link my GW1 account and nabbed myself a profane armor skin. Now I’d like to go back and play some more GW1 to get more HoM rewards, but I cannot. It seems that I cannot log in to my GW 1 account, I get an invalid password notification every time. I know I’m using the right password, I just used it last month to link accounts.
If I try to reset my password, I get a screen telling me that ‘this service is not available,’ so that’s out. I’ve also tried logging in with my GW2 account info, but that gets me a popup saying that the account doesn’t exist. I’ve also already submitted a support request, but that never seems to get anyone anywhere.
I’ve invested a lot in Guild Wars 1, I own all three base games, EotN, extra character slots, bank space, and costumes, so obviously this account means a lot to me and I’d like it back.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Try using your GW2 log-in info

Yep. When you change your GW2 account password, it also changes the GW1 to the same.

Try using your GW2 log-in info
As I stated in the original post, I tried that and it didn’t work.

Did you use your email as user name?

Don’t forget to use a current character name. Deleted character names will give an error. If none of these tips work, you will just have to wait for CS to help you. Good luck.

I think you should just contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They should be able to assist you.

The support team is actually pretty good. You might hear a good number of stories from people unhappy, bu that’s simply a side effect of the fact that most people only speak up when unhappy.
