Guild Wars 2

Hi everybody!

My notebook is:
Core i3-370m 2,4 GHz
8 GB DDR3 1333MHz A-data
GeForce GT540M 1GB
oc’d@ 750/1500/1800

My problem is that Guild Wars 2 has a 50-50% CPU and GPU usage all the time rarely to see it at 60% and the cpu drops frequently.

My FPS in cities ~20 outdoor areas with many NPCs ~20, with fewer npc and player ~35
and drops. Setting are on Medium, but i have almost the same fps on “best performance” and “best appearence” as well. Interesting.

Driver version is the recomended: 304.79 beta

Other games: Battlefield 3 multiplayer Medium settings ~30-60 FPS which has a decent system reqs. (90-90% CPU/GPU usage)

I hope someone can give me a good tip, or tweak. But don’t ask me buy a PC, which I don’t have money for

There is not much to be said, try different drivers and pray.

I am praying for a developer update, that they are working on it …

Same issue, WvW is unplayable.

Same here man, you’re not the only one. It’s like it was in the beta, with a little improvement.

There is a new beta driver named 306. Try it out. Some get the problem you have now, and some get better performance.

tried it already … some problems

Hi i am using a notebook to play games and as to date there are no games i encountered with the same problem as guild wars 2

CPU : Intel® Core™ i7-2860QM CPU @ 2.50GHz
GPU : GTX 580M GDDR5 2GB ( Latest Beta Driver 304.79 )
RAM : 16GB DDR3 1600MHz

Running on SSD patriot wild fire

Temperature while playing 70c – 85c

Settings were " AUTO DETECT " High and medium settings because it switch itself sometimes.

The problem is when i join a " orange " event or there are lots of people the lag spike started

I never encounter this in Battlefield 3 / World of Warcraft / CS : GO / Darksiders 2 / DOTA 2 etc
