Guild Wars 2

I’ve been playing GW2 since release. The FPS in PvE is around 20~30 until recently my FPS become 10+ only. This is totally unplayable. May I know how do I solve this problem?

20-30 in PVE is a very low FPS count for ur rig, ur video card is not great but it should pull a little more FPS in lower/med settings. Is that windows 7 64 bits?

The GT 440 is a ‘media’ card the closest ‘gaming’ card to it performance wise is an old 8800 GT..infact the 8800Gt in games would probably be better. It is likely that its maxing out, though i could be wrong.

OP, download some hardware monitoring programs and find out what your CPU and GPU usuage is when playing. If your GPU is maxing out all you can do is lower settings, If your GPU is not maxing out and your CPU is around 65-75% or above usuage its a CPU bottlneck due to GW2’s poor optimizations, at which point you only option there would be to put up with it, Overclock the cpu, or upgrade.
The reason your performance has droped is likely down to a GW2 patch, or you have simply gone to an area ingame that put a heavier load on the system than you were previosly in.

EDIT: one other note.. the Intel i5 750 turbo’s up to 3.2ghz .make sure it is actually doign this.
