Guild Wars 2

Hi,

I have problems with low FPS on the game for a while now. I have done all the steps on the guide for the Nvidia cards but did not help much.

I have tried both Best Performance and Auto Detect but the FPS do not change by much. The game is unplayable with this FPS.

My PC specs are:

OS: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs)
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Graphics Card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti

Any help?

What FPS specificaly are you getting and Where ?

EDIT: Ah ok ..Link didnt work for me when i posted .Does now .. I See LA ..19 FPS ..ouch.
As below .. What is ur CPu and GPU usuage at when in that area ?

Well his screenshot shows 19fps and looks like Lion Arch which his system should be capable of better.

What is your CPU/GPU load and temp while running gw2?
Run GPU-Z and post the screenshot.

I just went ot same place and i dont think your CPU should be bottlenecking, the usuage shouldnt be to high, atleast not high enough to get into the bottleneck region.

And with ur settings set to minimum ur gpu shouldnt be causing the issue ether.

Hmm ..GPU-Z might well show the issue .. I suspect u may have ur GPU in a x1 slot instead of a x16.

I have been playing BF3 on high settings with no problems but I am guessing there have to been something wrong with the GW2 settings.

GPU looks fine. What about CPU? What is the load and temp while running GW2?

Hmm odd .. Nothing going wrong with ur GPU from what i can see.

Any chance ur CPu is downclocking/throttling ? . .What temps do u get from ur CPu when in Gw2 ?

That screenshot doesn’t show the CPU load. Try using task manager or HwINFO sensor mode.

Does fullscreen windows mode make a difference?

Hmm odd indeed .. pritty much ruled out hardware.

You could try running different Graphics drivers. Older ..newer …beta’s etc.
