Guild Wars 2

One day, I tried to open GW2, but the log in screen doesn’t pop up for a long time, and have to force to shut down the applications. Then I tried to reinstall it but the log in screen still doesn’t pop up. Please help me. I use mac beta version.

If Gw2Setup.exe goes directly to the login screen without showing the install button, rename Gw2Setup.exe to Gw2.exe and move it to where you would like to install the game and then run it.

Is .exe different from .dmg ?

Try reading this post. The last one tells you how to repair the client in response to a post where the client won’t launch and has to be force-quit.

So, I copied the text [/applications/guild\ wars\ 2.app/contents/MacOS/cider —use-dos-cwd C:Gw2 — C:\\GW2\\GW2.exe –repair] and tried others ways similar like this, but doesn’t work. Did I do something wrong?

I have the same issue. Game crashed mid PvP match and now it wont bring the login screen up. It thinks the application is open but i cant do anything. some insight into this would be lovely

Exactly the same problem here . Client invisible . I tried the instructions from the forum (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/MAC-Basic-Beta-Client-Troubleshooting/first#post2480238)
And yet the problem persisted . Remember that when i tried to repair the client (following the instructions from item 3) the error message ’can not find -use- the – cwd appears.

One more. 5 days and counting. Some suggestions from assistance service, no result. Please guys, fix it.

I’m not even sure why they have this forum. Red posts are as rare as rain in a drought year. I see players trying to help each other, but in most cases it’s the blind leading the blind. People post here, a few get helped. Many posts eventually slide off the front page, unhelped. :/

All I can suggest is, make a ticket and then compose your soul to patience. It will be a week or more as they are swamped.

I gave up trying last night and shut it all down. came back this morning and the client has actually opened. dont know if it will last or if it is just a one off. fingers crossed
