Guild Wars 2

I just did a full system restore from a backup that was from before the current update.The regular GW2 client won’t even open and the 64bit client gives the same “connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” that everyone else is talking about. I thought, maybe the client had become corrupted? I tried to repair it through the terminal, connection timeout.

Is this just the same issue everyone else is having?

Both versions of my client became corrupted after the restore. Doing a full reinstall on both since the terminal update won’t work.

Same here. 64 Bit Client gets the Connection Errors, the 32 Bit Client doesn’t even start properly and can only be force quit

It’s not Mac. It’s server problems. Look at the thread next to this one. They are working on it.

Same issue, client will not start, can only quit if I use force quit.

I have the same issue, nothing will happen when I open the client. Force Quit the only option to close the client. It appears to be the latest update for MAC users and I am an extremely unhappy camper. There is barely any support for Mac users, however, I do hope that the client issue will be solved rather sooner than later.

Can we please get any acknowledge from the dev-team?

Same issue, I’ve submitted a ticket, hopefully there’s a fix for it soon.

(note the 64.25.41.2 didnt work but 64.25.41.3 did!)

The workaround for the 32 bit client does not work for me, it will let me log in, but it says that it encounters an issue with connecting with the log in server.

You shouldn’t have any problems logging in if you can read these forums, for NA at least. EU goes through different login servers.
For NA, these should work:
Gw2.exe -authsrv 64.25.38.172 -assetsrv 64.25.41.2
Gw2.exe -authsrv 54.89.152.137 -assetsrv 64.25.41.2
EU requires different IPs for -authsrv:
206.127.146.73
206.127.146.74
206.127.159.109
206.127.159.107
206.127.146.67

Replace GW2.exe by /Applications/Guild\ Wars\ 2.app/Contents/MacOS/cider -use-dos-cwd C:Gw2 -- C:\\GW2\\GW2.exe (or the 64 bits one).
