Q:
Hi all, hopefully this is a simple question that can be answered very easily.
When I play Guild Wars 2, no matter what graphic settings I have the maximum FPS reaches 28/31 fps.
Here are the specifications of my Macbook Pro:
Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB
I am by no means tech-savvy, but I would have thought the specifications are decent enough to run the game flawlessly at lowest settings… I would love for it to reach closer to 60 fps.
Is it possible, am I missing something here? Or is this the best it’s going to get for me?
Thanks in advance!
(Apologies if this has been asked already, I did try searching for a previous post – although admittedly not that hard)
:)
Its the HD graphics that are holding you back. 30FPS~ is the best possible performance to expect out of the Intel GPU.

Is this your Proce? —> http://ark.intel.com/es/products/64893/Intel-Core-i7-3520M-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_60-GHz
I think is the integrated GPU and the 2 cores proce that are holding you back…
I have a AMD Athlon ii x2 250 (2 core), with 4 gb RAM + Amd Radeon HD 6670 1 gb.. and i also have 30 fps máx on a very good day.
Another factor is that with the September 9 patch, GM’s make a mistake in the code and they said they gonna fixed on Halloween patch..

GW2 is very CPU based, hope that info helped you.
